Carmel Valley is an unincorporated area, inland and east of Carmel. This is rural living at it's best. If you love horses or want to start a small vineyard then this is the place.
Garland Ranch Regional Park is a popular area for hiking and horseback riding. It runs along the Carmel river.
Carmel Valley Village has a small town "village" feel to it, 12 miles inland. There are a number of good restaurants, small shops and wine tasting rooms.

Golf Courses: There are three championship golf courses in the Carmel Valley area - Rancho Canada, Quail Lodge and Carmel Valley Ranch.
