Population - 15,577 ( 2004)
Weather - usually foggier than Monterey & many other Peninsula areas. Also known as the "last home town".
Housing - There are a few larger apartment communities scattered around in the community. Most housing are smaller units and single family. Lots are smaller and houses closer together. Many houses are older. People with allergies beware as mildew is more of a problem.
But this is a pouplar and wonderful town to live in. The deer wander thru town eating your flowers. It is a bird watchers paradise also. For a real "home town" feel, this is a good spot.
Downtown area with shops and restaurants. Good coffee shops are meeting areas for locals. Good walking area daytime and night. There is a Pacific Grove Art Gallery that holds openings on Fridays every few weeks with a variety of artists |
Schools - Pacific Grove has it's own High School and is a separate school district from the Monterey School district. This is a very popular school district.
Recreation Trail runs from the Aquarium to the north. In the spring time the purple ice plant is in bloom and is stunning.
Lovers Point is a poplar spot for picnics, photo shoots, special events and just to hang out. |
