	Tips - Yard Sales Get rid of things your don't need so you don't have to move them. Check city requirements as you may need to obtain a license or permit. Get the whole neighborhood involved and make it a big "block sale". Put a free ad in CraigsList. or other free publication. Place signs and balloons at street corners close to your house. Price everything ahead of time and attach prices with removable stickers. People are looking for bargains. So sell more expensive items separately. Don't include any family heirlooms by accident. Have a neighbor keep you pet during the sale. If you display items in an orderly fashion so customers don't have to root thru bins, they will buy more. Buyers want to test any electrical item so have a power strip plugged in and available. Wrap delicate items in newspaper and have bags available. Keep plenty of change handy but don't leave it unattended.
